Textile/mixed media art is an excellent means for expressing the joys and terrors of our world and life experiences. All art media bring up feelings—the aliveness of nature, spiritual awareness, compassion, connectivity, and, sadly, inhumanity.

 

After working on politically themed pieces, I oftentimes feel depleted, but satisfied that I’ve expressed what’s in my soul. I work on projects for special humanitarian causes; e.g., Ukrainian fundraiser, House Quilt Project, lap quilts for chemo patients and abused children, and others.

 

I hope my art will stimulate discussion as well as action, and also spread peace and love.
